one glance that set life alight. Stacey + Scott are married Part 2

whenever I see your smiling face, I have to smile myself because I love you, yes, I do.
[james taylor]

stacey + scotts beautiful wedding day part II. you can see part I here. the warm summer evening was filled with laughter, delicious food, good music, family and friends. as i mentioned before, stacey has an amazing eye for detail. and this wedding was full of lovely details. the jewel in the crown was certainly the beautifully crafted head table handmade by scott with wood from a 280 year old barn that was recently torn down on the property of a customer. restored & reclaimed by scott with the help of customer, turned friend & wedding life saver Nathan Hawkes of Hawkes & Huberdeau Woodworking, in amesbury, ma. this head table is made up of three tables - one for the bride and groom and one for each set of parents. so thoughtful. the sweet swing was also made from the barn's reclaimed wood and strewn with a gorgeous garland from cymbidium floral. pride of place on the most perfect tree.
the fabric banner hanging above the table is personally made by the bride (note from stacey: with fabric samples from my past life in interior design; named thursday night before the wedding as the grady family sat on the dance floor enamored by the beauty of the tent; scott's dad commented on how they reminded him of tibetan prayer flags - "gratitude flags!" Lauren said - fitting, seeing as though it felt like all my prayers had been answered.)

such a sweet story stacey and scott have - one i won't soon forget. xo
